Exporting Citationsup arrow

To export citations with Abstracts from a search result in The Canadian Mineralogist to a file management program, the following steps are suggested:

  1. Enter a search in The Canadian Mineralogist.

  2. Click on the Abstract link.

  3. When the Abstract is displayed, select "Save As" in the File menu.

  4. Open the saved Abstract in a word processing program. Add field tags and adjust the format of the citation and Abstract to resemble output from MEDLINE. Delete any extraneous material.

  5. Use the import function in your file management program to import this modified Abstract.

To view the contents of the current issue, click on the "Current Issue" link on the home page. The table of contents also includes a link to an index of authors for the current issue.

To view the contents of any online issue, click the "" button at the top of most pages. This will display a list of the issues that are available for browsing.

To search the contents of all online issues, click the "" button at the top of most pages.

When viewing the table of contents for an online issue, you can search for words in the text of the articles in that issue by entering words in the search box and clicking the Enter button. Read Help with Searching to learn how searching works in The Canadian Mineralogist.

To search The Canadian Mineralogist, enter search terms in the spaces provided. Select a date range if desired. Note that if you do not change the date range provided, your search will cover all available issues. Click the Start Search button.

Titles of articles retrieved as a result of searching are returned in relevance ranked order. The "closest matches" will be articles that match more of your search terms, that match your terms more closely, that have more occurrences of any one term, and that have occurrences earlier in the Abstract or article. You have several choices as to the number of "closest matches" retrieved.
